Our story

I’m Joe your Baker, nice to meet you! I’ve spent my life studying fermentations in wine and cheese making around the world and now bread. I started this “Pantry” as a way to share foods I've experienced in my travels. After opening our doors it became apparent there is a real need for high quality, old world bread without preservatives… so that’s what I try to offer.

Our ingredients

We are lucky enough to be situated near Capay Mills here in Yolo County and utilize their flours for the bulk of our breads and pastries. We also purchase our fresh milled Einkorn flour directly from the farmer that grows it - No middle men.

If you grow or mill heritage grains in our area please reach out to us. I would love to discuss adding your flours to our line up!

Due to overwhelming request I now offer a few alternative flour breads on a rotating basis.
